It is my hope that when we meet our ancestors in the sky, we can say that we were not selfish with the knowledge we gained on our journey, and that we leave behind evidence of good stewardship to the land.

We acknowledge that we are residing on the traditional lands of the Cowlitz people, along with the Yakama, Klickitat and Chinook people. We are grateful to be here.

Blue Fan Farm is what we call our two-and-a-half-acre educational farm, located in the Hayes area of Woodland, Washington.

Almost anything grows in our fairly temperate climate here in SW Washington. Education and biodiversity is a priority here, along with permaculture, preservation, soil regeneration, and crop sharing. We encourage and guide native plants, grow produce, flowers, and herbs to benefit our family and community.

Up until 2017 this land was a forest. We are blessed to have large trees and a enough wooded area to provide forest habitat for woodland loving endangered plants. We are hoping to lead the land back to a more natural habitat leaving plenty of sunshine spaces for food, sun loving plants and creative work.

The Apothecary at Blue Fan Farm is open for community learning and sharing. Working together, we can see what herbal product fits your needs. Most of what we work with and share has been home grown or wild crafted. All herbal products are donation basis on a sliding scale. No one will be turned away for lack of funds.

The SW Washington Chapter of Herbalists Without Borders finds its home here at Blue Fan Farm. Bringing folks together to share information about growing flowers, food and herbal plants is an important ingredient in our recipe for a vital community. 25% of all we do here goes to HWB.

Blue Fan Farm is a proud member of United Plant Savers. United Plant Savers’ mission is to protect native medicinal plants, fungi, and their habitats while ensuring renewable populations for future generations.
